HIPEC
Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy delivered at 42°C directly to the abdominal cavity.
Overview
After all visible disease is removed, heated chemotherapy is circulated through the abdomen for 60–90 minutes, reaching microscopic deposits with far higher local drug concentration and minimal systemic toxicity.
